Travel Physical Therapist – Acute Care Hospital American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel contract in Garrison, North Dakota. Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 4x9‑hour shifts Hours: 36 hrs/week Start Date: May 4, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Location: Acute care hospital setting, covering outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed skilled units. Details Average of 8 patients treated per day. Patient population primarily outpatient cases, with additional acute inpatient and skilled swing bed patients. Charting performed using MatrixCare/Matrix EMR. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; 9‑hour shifts. No weekend or holiday coverage required. Requirements Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience preferred; new graduates may be considered as training is provided. Active PT license required if applicable; pending licenses are not accepted. Current BLS certification required; pending certifications are not accepted. Driver's license required for consideration. Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months of work, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years of work (including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire). Responsibilities Evaluation and treatment across outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed skilled settings. Department‑specific orientation provided (12 hours). Professional casual attire required. No PT aides or PTAs on staff. Open to first‑time travelers; training provided. Additional Information Candidates who have been directly employed (full‑time, part‑time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside firms will be considered.
