Relocation Assistance Eligible for Qualified Technologists Location: Sterling, VA Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday, Day Shift and rotating Saturdays Compensation Range: $45.00-$55.00 commensurate with experienceDepartment Highlights:Patient-Focused TeamCohesive and Friendly EnvironmentSupportive and Encouraging AtmosphereA Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist:Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis WayConsistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;Performs other work-related duties as assigned.Here is what you will need:Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography;ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible;Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT;High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred;Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location, which is eligible for reimbursementKnowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred;Two years of experience in mammography is preferred;Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred;Prior quality control experience preferred;Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology;Ability to stand for long periods of timeWhy Washington Radiology?A Great Place to Work for the fourth year in a row!Offer competitive benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Paid Holidays, Backup Child/Adult Care as well as other unique benefits.Hourly Rate: $38.00 to $49.00 commensurate with experienceWe have a new added feature of our Mammography Technologist Training Program: tuition reimbursement!
