Sr. Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Engineer

OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Engineer to support, enhance, and scale our existing implementation of Adobe Experience Platform and Real-Time CDP.This role focuses on data collection architecture, platform optimization, data quality, and governance across our digital ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform configuration and management, Customer Journey Analytics(B2B), Adobe Web SDK and Adobe Experience Platform Data Collection, and will play a key role in ensuring reliable data flow, accurate reporting, and scalable solutions.This role will also collaborate closely across the broader Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem, including Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and Adobe Marketo Engage to enable end-to-end customer data activation and insights.ResponsibilitiesOwn and support enterprise implementations of Adobe Experience Platform and Real-Time CDP, ensuring scalability, stability, and performanceDesign and manage end-to-end data collection architecture using Adobe Web SDK, Edge Network, and datastreamsArchitect and govern XDM schemas, datasets, identity namespaces, and merge policies to ensure accurate profile stitching and audience qualificationDevelop and maintain tagging solutions via Adobe Experience Platform Data Collection across multi-domain environmentsDevelop, troubleshoot and deploy Data Connections and Data Views in CJAMonitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data ingestion, identity, and cross-platform discrepancies (AEP, Analytics, CJA B2B, downstream systems)Implement data quality frameworks, validation processes, and Query Service-based checksDefine and enforce scalable, event-driven data layer standards (ACDL/EDDL)Enable audience segmentation and activation, and integrate datasets into Customer Journey Analytics for cross-channel insightsImplement and manage consent and privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA), including integration with OneTrustPartner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions; support documentation, governance, and team enablementRequirements5+ years of experience in digital analytics implementation and data collection architectureStrong hands-on experience with:Adobe Experience Platform (AEP)AEP Data Collection (Adobe Launch)Adobe Web SDKExperience implementing or supporting Real-Time CDP solutionsExperience working with Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for web instrumentationExperience with XDM schema design, data modeling, and event-based trackingDeep understanding of data layer architecture and governanceFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycleStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsBachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related STEM fieldRecommended QualificationsExperience with AEP Edge Network and Server-Side Event ForwardingHands-on experience with identity resolution and profile stitching in CDPKnowledge of Adobe Analytics constructs (eVars, props, events, classifications)Experience integrating AEP with downstream destinations and APIsExperience integrating AEP with Adobe Journey Optimizer and Adobe Marketo Engage for activation use casesFamiliarity with multi-region/global data collection implementationsExperience with Python or automation for data validation and monitoringExposure to other tag management systems (GTM, Tealium)Experience supporting enterprise-scale MarTech ecosystems#LI-TM1#LI-onsiteTotal RewardsEsri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
