Responsibilities

About the team: We are the product management team for the Compute service of the volcano engine, which is the cloud service provided by ByteDance. It includes all the different types of compute instances and the supporting services built around it, such as Autoscaling, Server Migration and Systems Manager. Both the business and the team are growing rapidly as we are building the next generation AI infrastructure and innovate on behalf of our customers. Responsibilities: We are currently hiring product managers to build our next generation compute services to power large-scale AI infrastructure. The candidate will need to:

• Work closely with internal and external customers as well as sales and solution architects to collect customer needs and feedback.
• Work with the R&D team to clarify and prioritize product needs and design product features accordingly.
• Define product go to market strategy, including positioning, pricing, promotion as well as lifecycle management.
• Define product goals and core business metrics, and continuously track these metrics to improve our products.
• Manage and maintain product roadmaps and be able to articulate the value of each feature to customers.
• Perform competitive analysis, track industry technology trends to feed into the product planning.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: Technical background with more than 3 years of experience as a ToB product manager. Deep understanding of the cloud industry. Some level of understanding of virtualization, networking, storage, server hardware, containers, etc. Be able to prioritize and maximize the product value for our customers. Be curious about new technologies and new industry trends in areas such as cloud infrastructure, deep learning, big data, and security.

Preferred Qualification: Previous experiences with large CSPs(Cloud Service Providers) are preferred. Excellent communication skills and be able to work closely with various stakeholders to achieve product goals. Strong analytical skills and strong execution.

Job Information

Compensation Description (Annually): The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $228000 - $492800 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
