Overview Leasing Specialist 1 – Full‑time, 40 hours per week, based in San Antonio, Texas (Zip78251). This role is responsible for managing the leasing process for multiple AvalonBay communities, providing a high‑quality customer experience during self‑guided and virtual tours, and maintaining accurate lease data. Responsibilities Conduct self‑guided and virtual tours, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience for prospective residents. Engage prospects via telephone, email, Zoom, text/SMS, and online chat, answering questions and guiding them through pricing, availability, and community features. Document all tour outcomes, contact details, and lease data in the company’s information systems in a timely manner. Verify IDs when required and coordinate building access when automation is unavailable. Handle inbound and outbound calls during scheduled shifts, following up with leads to create urgency and close leases. Cross‑sell prospects to other AvalonBay communities where appropriate. Address and resolve customer service concerns quickly and professionally. Collaborate with team members and on‑site staff, participating in coaching, training, and personal development sessions (visible on camera). Qualifications 1+ year of experience in multifamily or related property management. Experience in a sales or customer‑interaction role, demonstrating ability to achieve leasing targets. Strong customer‑service skills and ability to build rapport quickly. Comprehensive knowledge of community inventory, pricing, and local neighborhood features. Excellent written and verbal communication in English; proficiency in basic arithmetic. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting tools. Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends. Technical Requirements Hardwired desktop with dedicated internet router; Wi‑Fi prohibited. Minimum 25Mbps download and upload speed. Dedicated workspace at associate’s expense, with at least two monitors set up securely and ergonomically. Education High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
