Job Summary

Join our dedicated surgical team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. This vital role involves providing expert nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, ensuring optimal outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

As an OR Circulator, you will be responsible for managing the nursing care of patients during the intraoperative phase, maintaining the sterile field, and coordinating with the surgical team. Your commitment to patient safety, advocacy, and meticulous attention to detail will be paramount in delivering high-quality surgical care.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a circulating nurse during surgical procedures, overseeing the operating room environment.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and advocacy throughout the surgical experience.
• Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Maintain a sterile field and monitor adherence to aseptic techniques by all surgical team members.
• Document all nursing care accurately and thoroughly according to facility policies.
• Assist the surgical team with patient positioning, transfers, and other duties as needed.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Respond to emergent situations and provide immediate intervention as required.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Prior experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse.

Shift Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Licensing Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska or a compact state license valid in Nebraska.
