Senior Staff Accountant – Des Plaines, IL (Hybrid)

Our client, a well-established global organization with a collaborative and team-oriented culture, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its growing accounting team. Key Responsibilities:

·       Prepare and record journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.

·       Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including account analyses and balance sheet reconciliations.

·       Review financial transactions and support accounts payable and cash management activities.

·       Prepare financial reports and reporting packages for corporate leadership and international stakeholders.

·       Monitor cash activity, intercompany transactions, and various treasury-related accounting functions.

·       Assist with compliance reporting, internal controls, and documentation processes.

·       Support annual audits and work closely with external auditors to provide requested schedules and information.

·       Participate in special projects, process improvements, and ongoing accounting initiatives across multiple business units.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

·       2-4 years of public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both.

·       Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

·       Advanced Excel skills and experience working within an ERP system.

·       Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·       CPA or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply.
