Established in 2023, The Gate Golf Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding access to golf and creating a lasting impact on the Southwest Florida community. Scheduled to open in late 2026, The Gate will feature:

• Oakwood Grill - 175-seat freestanding full-service restaurant
• The Pavilion Bar
• The Gimme - quick service restaurant
• The Bays - 30-bay state-of-the-art practice range with Trackman technology
• The Gater 18-h putting course
• Jacobsen-Hardy designed 9-hole regulation-length golf course

The Gate is designed to make golf more accessible to families and players of all skill levels, while providing high-quality golf and hospitality experiences at affordable rates.

Position Overview

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and established quality standards
• Ensure food is prepared and presented accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist with menu planning and recipe development
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work station
• Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Assist with catering events and special functions as needed
• Maintain consistency and quality throughout food preparation and service
• Be willing to learn new techniques, contribute ideas, and improve culinary skills

We’re looking for someone who wants to be hands-on, creative, and committed to improving themselves in the kitchen. Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar food-service position preferred.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Strong knife skills and basic food preparation knowledge
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong commitment to food quality and presentation
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to take direction while also contributing ideas and initiative
