We are a growing team consisting of 6 Physicians, 3 Certified Nurse Midwives and 4 Nurse Practitioners. Our team is committed to providing comprehensive Obstetrical and Gynecologic care to patients in West Michigan. Our support staff is composed of 5 registered nurses, 14 medical assistants, 4 sonographers and 3 patient service representatives. Each member of our team plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and the delivery of high-quality care.Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.The Medical Assistant (MA) in the OB/GYN office provides clinical and administrative support to physicians, midwives, and advanced practice providers to ensure efficient patient care delivery. This role involves direct patient care, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, assisting with examinations and procedures, and performing basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection and point-of-care testing.The MA also supports care coordination by managing patient flow, documenting in the electronic medical record, coordinating referrals, scheduling, and responding to patient inquiries.
