Responsibilities

1. Uses advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
2. Diagnoses mechanical and basic electrical problems using technical drawings.
3. Minimizes downtime and unsafe conditions by performing preventative and predictive maintenance.
4. Conducts routine inspections of material handling equipment.
5. Assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.
6. Documents maintenance activities and repairs.
7. Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas.
8. Assists in inventory management and spare parts tracking.
9. Follows all OSHA and internal safety standards.
10. Must possess a passport along with the ability to travel to Canada and Mexico.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience working as an automotive technician, HVAC system, elevator repair, electrician, building maintenance or experience working with machinery or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years working in material handling industry preferred but not required
• Experience with CMMS platform a plus
• Working knowledge of handheld and power tools and how to use them
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and basic electrical defects
• Ability to interpret both mechanical drawings
• Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented
• Knowledge of safe industrial work practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service orientation
• Ability to work in and contribute to a team setting
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Office
• Ability to follow maintenance manuals and procedures to repair equipment
• Ability to assist in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all material handling equipment and components is a plus

Hourly Rate: $25.00-$38.00
