Sr. Investment Tax Specialist

The Tax Analyst will prepare Fiscal and Excise tax provision workpapers and related tax adjustments. They will also be responsible for preparation and review of tax returns and their associated schedules and attachments. tax estimates, as well as other client deliverables. The Tax Analyst must possess RIC operational experience; either in fund accounting or financial reporting, RIC tax experience is preferred. The strong candidate will have an attention to detail and a team attitude. Tax Adjustment Analysis: Prepare and review investment tax adjustments. Work with Financial Reporting and Fund Accounting teams for Clear audit points. Fiscal Tax provision: Prepare the fiscal tax provision Prepare financial statement disclosures Clear audit points. Excise Tax: Prepare excise tax provision Prepare income projections Clear audit points Distributions: Prepare distribution calculations Prepare income projections as applicable Prepared distribution memo Tax Estimates: Prepare tax estimates per client request Federal/state tax returns: Prepare, using tax software application, federal and state returns. Clear audit points. File return on behalf of the client with federal and local tax agencies. Education level and/or relevant experience(s) BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience Understanding of tax concepts, practices, and procedures helpful. Strong client service skills and ability to work in a team Ability to understand financial statements and fund accounting reports and spreadsheets Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required Other requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training, physical or mental abilities required) Ability to conceptualize and execute projects and initiatives through to completion Creative problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify, recommend, and implement solutions for tax-related client issues Salary Range $55,000 - $70,000 Base Salary + Annual Bonus Target BBH and its affiliates' compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit‑sharing.
