Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a flexible and experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a float pool position. The role involves providing patient care across various units, including ICU, MS, MS Tele, and PCU, with a focus on adult to geriatric populations, in a dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across ICU, MS, MS Tele, and PCU units.
• Adapt quickly to different unit protocols, patient needs, and staffing ratios, ensuring seamless patient care transitions.
• Utilize Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems to accurately document, dispense medications, and communicate with team members.
• Comply with all clinical and safety standards, including BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Manage a patient load with ratios ranging from 1:2-3 in ICU to 1:5-6 in MS units, maintaining safety and quality.
• Participate in unit and hospital protocols, including holiday coverage and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active GA or Compact RN licensure at the time of application.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience, with general skills applicable to various adult to geriatric patient populations.
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, and NIH.
• Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holiday shifts.
• Show full compliance with hospital onboarding, including completing all required modules and documentation within 48 hours.
• Experience working in fast-paced, multi-unit hospital environments with proficiency in Epic and SBAR systems.
