2026-2027 School Year Position Type: Sport/Activity Coaching – Lacrosse Date Posted: 5/22/2026 Location: Dundee-Crown High School Position Description Dundee-Crown is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Head Boys Lacrosse Coach for the 2026-2027 school year with a strong knowledge of Lacrosse and a focus on student‑athletic achievement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to working directly with coaching staff to develop practice and games plans, monitor, teach, instruct and motivate players, study and break down game film, keep detailed records of practice, progress and results. Must be able to coach at all levels within the program, be organized, flexible, take direction from the head coach and/or direct supervisor, and work and communicate with parents and the Booster Club. Performance Responsibilities/Requirements/Qualifications High school coaching experience is required. Must oversee all levels within the program and work collaboratively with assistant coaches and the Booster Club. Enhance, improve, and maximize students' athletic skills required to compete at a high level. In the off‑season, participate in strength and speed training. Assist in fundraising, organization, and other tasks as directed by the head coach to maintain accurate records of equipment. Organize and oversee specific program levels or areas of responsibility. Communicate with Assistant Coaches and/or Athletic Director to secure facilities and ensure a safe practice/competition environment for students. Support the philosophy, programmatic instruction of sequential fundamentals, and proper conditioning communicated by the head coach. Plan with assistant coaches practice sessions and competition strategies to ensure the health and physical well‑being of the student participants. Coordinate with assistant coaches and the Athletic Director all in‑season practices. Ensure all student participants at each program level are in compliance with D300 and IHSA requirements including current athletic physical, Code of Conduct, fees paid, and academic eligibility prior to practice, tryout, and competition. Model and instill the values of sportsmanship and fair play to all participants, and enforce consequences for breach of such standards. Attend all student‑athlete practices, games, and monitor proper supervision at all practices, games, and on school‑provided transportation. Maintain and provide the assistant coach with end‑of‑season individual and team records and statistics. Participate in a mandatory preseason parent meeting. Assist the head coach in planning for the seasonal recognition program. Assist in the orderly distribution and collection of uniforms and equipment.
