Role Description The House Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all residents. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Columbus, OH, with some work-from-home flexibility for administrative tasks and scheduling. Day-to-day duties include supervising staff and volunteers, coordinating resident intake and orientation, managing house rules and conflict resolution, and monitoring facility maintenance and supplies. The House Manager will plan and support communal activities, oversee kitchen operations and meal preparation schedules, and respond to resident needs with professionalism and empathy. The role also involves maintaining records, reporting key metrics to leadership, collaborating with community partners, and helping improve processes that enhance resident satisfaction and overall program quality. Qualifications Supervisory skills and experience overseeing staff or volunteers, including scheduling, performance feedback, and team coordination. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and respectfully with residents, colleagues, and external partners. Experience in training others, such as onboarding new team members, teaching house procedures, or guiding residents in daily living skills. Commitment to customer satisfaction or resident-centered service, with a focus on responsiveness, problem-solving, and maintaining a positive living environment. Basic cooking skills and comfort supporting or organizing meal preparation, kitchen safety, and food hygiene. Prior experience in residential programs, social services, hospitality, or property management is beneficial. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including documentation, reporting, and multitasking in a busy environment. Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion, maintain confidentiality, and apply trauma-informed and non-judgmental approaches. Proficiency with basic office software and communication tools; ability to work effectively in both on-site and remote settings.
