Job description: Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00 per hour up to $20 per hour. We are seeking a reliable Part-Time Service Technician to join our San Antonio team immediately, with strong potential to expand into a full-time role as our local routes grow. This is a hands-on, vital role focused on providing our core service: mobile fryer management, cooking oil micro-filtration, and environmental kitchen safety. Why Join Filta in San Antonio? Independent Work: After completing initial training, you will manage your own route independently, operating out of a company van. The Right Tools: Paid training, company van, full specialized equipment, PPE, and uniforms are provided. Compensation & Schedule Details Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour. Hours & Schedule: Part-Time schedule with a primary 5:00 AM start time. Full-time hours may become available as account capacity grows. What You'll Do Travel in a company van to scheduled commercial kitchen locations throughout the San Antonio area. Operate specialized mobile filtration equipment to clean, filter, and recycle cooking oil. Perform deep fryer cleanings to maintain equipment safety and efficiency. Refill fryers with fresh oil and confirm client satisfaction before leaving the site. Maintain accurate work records and communicate clearly with your supervisor and customer site contacts. Perform daily equipment and van maintenance, vehicle organization, tool care, and inventory upkeep at the San Antonio facility. What We're Looking For Motivated & Reliable: A self-starter with a strong work ethic, ready to take full ownership of their route. Dedicated & Physical: Comfortable with the physical demands of commercial kitchen service. Time Management: Solid organizational skills to complete assigned routes efficiently. Growth Mindset: Positive attitude with a desire to master a technical trade. Clear Driving Record: Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required. Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 75 lbs. and utilize ramps/lift gates. Hiring Essentials: Must pass a background check and MVR check. Training & Independence The initial paid training period will involve meeting at the shop and working directly alongside an experienced technician. Upon completion, you will transition to managing your route independently.
