Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides assistance in delivering physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Ensures compliance with all regulations and documentation procedures to promote patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing treatment plans by delivering high-quality physical therapy procedures.
• Document patient progress accurately within established protocols.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment to ensure readiness for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with the supervising therapist to modify treatments based on patient response and progress.
• Maintain certifications and licensing, verifying currency and compliance prior to start.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid State License as a Physical Therapy Assistant at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic charting and handling specific documentation requirements.
• Be AHA certified in BLS and ensure all certifications are current and in hand.
• Exhibit knowledge of healthcare compliance policies including background checks and clearance for any prior DUIs or background hits.
