Location: Cincinnati location preferred for proximity to developers, east coast digital hubs would be a second preference

Duration: 7 months contract with possible extension

Top Requirements: Figma (Design System exp, components Solid XD chops React/HTML coding understanding (not required, but a bonus)

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Mid-level Design Consultant to join our innovative team and deliver timely work for our business partners. The position is for a contract role to support the Design team on the redesign of an existing payments product. The purpose of the work is to redesign the existing experience around new technology and a new flow, apply brand guidelines and A11y standards, identify potential error states, and document specifications for the revisions. The individual who fills this role will be responsible for collaborating with a Design lead and other team members, learning and applying Editorial guidelines to the designs, sharing work with the Product and Dev teams, and participating in presentations with executive leadership.

Job Description: Mid to Senior Level Consultant, Experience Designer Responsibilities

• Will be responsible for collaborating with a Design lead and other team members, learning and applying Design style guidelines to your work, sharing work with the Product and Dev teams, and participating in presentations with executive leadership.

• Will be responsible for creating detailed designs and validating the accuracy of implementation of our designs to our mobile interfaces

Requirements: • Expert in visual design (font styles, color schema, look/feel, imagery, graphics, production output oriented) for native iOS applications. Banking experience is a plus.

• Expert with Figma; basic knowledge of HTML and CSS 3, and their respective impacts when designing financial industry experience.

• Familiarity with agile project methodology.

• Must have extensive experience designing for best practices and excellent communication and documentation skills

Must have experience creating style guides for development teams

Familiarity with designing for accessibility in native applications

Must be confident as a visual and interaction designer and be able to create quickly with little direction or oversight.

Strong attention to detail, ability to problem-solve and work independently when needed.

Preferred Skills/Experience: • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

• Typically 5 to 8 years of relevant experience

• Proficient at product management, visual design, interaction design, information architecture, usability principles, or similar experience

• Effective presentation, verbal and written communication skills
