Senior QHSE Manager
Meriton Energy Partners
We are partnering with a growing power generation and industrial services business seeking an experienced Senior QHSE Manager to lead safety and quality programs supporting its U.S. service operations.
Based in Corpus Christi, this position will have responsibility for the QHSE function across shop/fabrication activities and field deployments. The role will lead safety and quality personnel, develop and improve management systems, and work closely with operational teams to maintain consistently high standards across a technically demanding environment.
The position will be split between the Corpus Christi office, shop environment and travel to field locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the QHSE function, including direct supervision and development of safety and quality personnel.
- Develop, implement and continuously improve safety and quality management systems across shop, fabrication and field-service operations.
- Partner with operational leadership and support functions to ensure field employees are properly prepared and supported.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements and relevant industry standards.
- Support management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Lead and oversee risk assessments, job hazard analyses and hazard-mitigation activities.
- Support safe working practices around power-generation equipment, electrical systems and industrial operations.
- Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Manage internal and external audit readiness and support third-party certification audits.
- Develop and deliver QHSE training for shop personnel and field-service employees.
- Establish and monitor QHSE KPIs, leading and lagging indicators and performance trends.
- Support quality-control standards across equipment fabrication, assembly and field commissioning activities.
- Promote a proactive safety and quality culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Quality, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
- Approximately 7–10 years of QHSE, HSE or Quality experience.
- Previous leadership experience, ideally including direct reports.
- Experience within power generation, industrial fabrication, manufacturing, oil & gas or field services would be highly relevant.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Exposure to quality, safety and environmental management systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001.
- Safety or quality certifications such as CSP, CQE or equivalent are desirable.
- Strong incident-investigation, risk-assessment and audit experience.
- Comfortable working across office, shop and field environments.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30%.
What They’re Looking For
The successful candidate will be a practical and credible QHSE leader who can work closely with operational teams rather than operating purely from a corporate or compliance perspective.
Experience within fabrication, manufacturing, industrial services, oil & gas or power generation would all be considered relevant.
Package
Competitive base salary plus benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage, company-paid life and disability insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off and career-development opportunities.
