Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with Siemens scanner experience for a night shift role at a Level I trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Level I Trauma, teaching, community, and children's hospital setting
• Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics
• Performs CT exams including Code Stroke, CTA, abdomen, pelvis, chest, heart, spine, and CT biopsy
• Additional procedures include chest tube placement, extremities, and facial bones
• Equipment includes Siemens and Philips CT scanners
• Night shift, 5x8 hours, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• BLS, ARRT, and ARRT Advanced certification required
• Active California license required at time of submission, if applicable
• Siemens scanner experience required, no exceptions
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU settings
• Experience with IV starts, PACS, contrast administration, and biopsies
• CT procedure experience including abdomen, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, aspirations/biopsies
• Experience with brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and radiation therapy planning
• Experience with transplant studies, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Allscripts charting experience preferred
• References required for consideration
• Required certifications must be submitted for consideration

Additional Information

• May act as lead technologist and assist in training and mentoring other staff members
• Facility is smoke and nicotine-free, candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• Return staff reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• RTO must be submitted upfront and confirmed for the entire 13-week contract
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• First-time travelers not accepted
