AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students as they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment.
As an AlphaBEST Site Director , you'll lead a meaningful after-school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive.
We're looking for an early learning professional who:
- Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment
- Feels confident taking the lead and running a smooth program
- Takes pride in delivering a high-quality student and family experience
- Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
- Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed
In this role, you will:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation
- Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
- Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
- Make child safety the top priority at all times
- Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections
- Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
- Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met
- Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events
- Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success
Requirements:
- CPR and First Aid certification required (can be obtained within first 30 days of employment)
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership and supervision preferred
- Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
- Must be 21 years of age according to licensing regulations.
- Site Directors must meet 1 of the following requirements:
a. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university. (Determination of "related field" shall be made by the Division);
b. Bachelor's Degree in a non-related field from a regionally accredited college or university, plus one (1) of the following:
• Four (4) years of experience in early childhood education;
• Child Development Associate Credential (CDA); or
• Birth – Pre-K Credential.
c. Associate degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field, plus six (6) years of experience in Early Childhood Education; or
d. Eight (8) years of experience in Early Childhood Education and completion of one (1) of the following, within two (2) years of employment:
• Child Development Associate Credential;
• Birth – Pre-K Credential;
• Director's Credential or the equivalent; or
• Technical Certificate in Early Childhood Education.
