Position Summary

Atlantic Xchange LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bilingual Accounting Associate fluent in English and able to communicate in Arabic to support daily accounting operations. The successful candidate will assist with financial transactions, account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting while working closely with the accounting and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile financial transactions and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with daily transaction balancing and money transfer reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare basic financial reports, spreadsheets, and accounting schedules.
• Maintain organized accounting records and assist with audit preparation.
• Follow company policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures.
• Communicate with colleagues, agents, and business partners in English and Arabic as needed.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Desired experience: 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to speak and understand Arabic to communicate with Arabic-speaking colleagues, agents, and business partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with accounting software; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in money transfers, banking, currency exchange, or financial services is preferred.
