Future Opening: Snow Removal Sidewalk Crew 401(k) 401(k) matching Free uniforms Opportunity for advancement Location: Metro Detroit Area Reports To: Snow Supervisor / Crew Lead We are hiring hardworking and dependable individuals to join our Sidewalk Snow Removal Crew . This team plays a vital role in ensuring pedestrian safety during winter weather by clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, building entrances, and other high-traffic pedestrian areas. Work is often performed during early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays in response to snow events. Shovel snow from sidewalks, stairs, ramps, and building entrances Operate snow blowers, walk-behind plows, and other light equipment Apply salt, sand, or other de-icing materials to prevent ice buildup Respond promptly to snow events, often on short notice or irregular hours Maintain equipment and report any issues or malfunctions Ensure cleared areas meet safety standards and are accessible to the public Work collaboratively with other crew members and follow supervisor instructions Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used Qualifications No formal education required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior experience in snow removal or groundskeeping is a plus Ability to work outdoors in extreme cold, snow, and icy conditions Reliable transportation to job sites or designated meeting locations Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and overnight shifts Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedlyStand, walk, bend, and shovel for extended periods Tolerate exposure to cold, wind, and wet conditions Safely operate snow removal tools and equipment Experience with snow blowers, salt spreaders, or walk-behind plows Familiarity with safe handling of de-icing materials Good communication and time management skills Attention to detail and commitment to safety Competitive hourly wage with potential for overtime PPE and uniform provided Opportunities for advancement to crew lead or year-round grounds roles Compensation: $25.00 per hour About Us From ideas and thoughts to completed designs , Russell Landscaping Inc. delivers creativity, individuality, and satisfaction.
