Accountant

Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking an Accountant on behalf of our client, a global management consulting firm focused on delivering innovative solutions across various industries, with a strong emphasis on digital transformation and AI. This role is essential in supporting U.S. entities by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant transactional accounting. The accountant will play a key role in stabilizing accounts payable and general ledger processes while supporting month-end close and maintaining strong financial controls.


Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, payments, and employee expense reports accurately and on time
• Manage vendor setup, including W-9 collection and responding to payment inquiries
• Perform accounts payable and bank reconciliations
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the general ledger
• Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve accounting issues
• Support audit processes and ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Assist with payroll and state tax-related accounting activities as needed
• Perform additional accounting duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements include:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

Experience:

• 2-5 years of accounting experience
• Experience supporting accounts payable, general ledger, and month-end close processes

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations)
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

Certifications:

• CPA or progress toward certification is a plus

Knowledge:

• Understanding of U.S. accounting principles and practices
• Familiarity with payroll processing and state tax requirements is highly desirable
• Experience with ERP systems required, with Sage Intacct strongly preferred
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes and general ledger maintenance
