We are working with a General Contractor delivering a major data center project in Michigan City, Indiana and are looking to appoint an experienced Project Controls Manager to join the project team.

\n

\n

This position has evolved beyond a traditional Project Scheduler role. We are looking for someone who can take broader ownership of project controls across scheduling, earned value, contract administration, reporting and project systems.

\n

\n

This is now a full-time, on-site position in Michigan City.

\n

Recent data center or mission critical construction experience is essential.

\n

The Role

\n

\n

The Project Controls Manager will work closely with Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, commercial teams and senior client stakeholders to provide clear visibility across project performance.

\n

\n

The successful candidate will take ownership of the project schedule while also supporting wider project controls functions, ensuring leadership has accurate information around progress, cost, performance and contractual commitments.

\n

\n

Responsibilities will include:

\n

\n
• Developing, maintaining and managing the master construction schedule
\n
• Managing critical path, milestones, look-ahead schedules and schedule updates
\n
• Monitoring project progress against baseline schedules
\n
• Leading schedule review meetings with project leadership and client stakeholders
\n
• Supporting earned value management and project performance measurement
\n
• Tracking planned versus actual progress across key workstreams
\n
• Developing project controls reports, dashboards and management information
\n
• Identifying schedule, cost and performance risks and driving mitigation strategies
\n
• Supporting downstream contract and subcontract administration
\n
• Tracking contractual milestones, deliverables and change impacts
\n
• Supporting change management and schedule impact analysis
\n
• Coordinating subcontractor schedules and integrating them into the master programme
\n
• Supporting forecasting, progress measurement and project reporting
\n
• Managing and improving project controls systems and processes
\n
• Ensuring project data and reporting remain accurate and consistent
\n
• Working closely with commercial, procurement and project management teams
\n
• Providing clear reporting and analysis to senior project and client leadership
\n
• Supporting commissioning, turnover and final project closeout
\n

What We’re Looking For

\n

\n
• Recent data center or mission critical construction experience is essential
\n
• Strong General Contractor or Construction Manager background
\n
• Experience as a Project Controls Manager, Senior Scheduler, Project Controls Lead or similar
\n
• Strong Primavera P6 scheduling experience
\n
• Experience developing and managing large-scale construction schedules
\n
• Knowledge of earned value management / EVM
\n
• Experience with progress measurement, forecasting and project performance reporting
\n
• Understanding of construction contracts and subcontract administration
\n
• Experience with change management and schedule impact analysis
\n
• Strong knowledge of project controls systems and reporting processes
\n
• Experience coordinating civil, structural, MEP and commissioning schedules
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
\n
• Confident communicating with Project Executives and senior client stakeholders
\n
• Ability to challenge project teams and drive accountability
\n
• Strong presentation and reporting skills
\n
• Ability to work full-time on site in Michigan City, Indiana
\n
