The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for the contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion. The employee may have job functions where they will handle and deliver medications based on the requirements of their job in the assigned work facility. **What you will do*** Observe patients before, during, and after therapy, noting the patient’s status and reporting it to a physical therapist* Help patients do specific exercises as part of the plan of care* Treat patients using a variety of techniques, such as massage and stretching* Use devices and equipment, such as walkers, to help patients* Educate patients and family members about what to do after treatment **Education Qualifications*** Associate's Degree from an accredited therapy program and performed the required clinical internships satisfactorily Required **Skills and Abilities*** Ability to utilize therapy equipment in an outpatient rehabilitation setting to provide treatment and procedures **Licenses and Certifications*** Physical Therapist Assistant - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Required* Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association within 30 Days Required **Physical Demand** Medium-Heavy Physical Demand The intent of this job description is to provide a representative and level of the types of duties and responsibilities that will be required of positions given this title and shall not be construed as a contract for employment nor a declaration of the total of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position.
