The Grove Inc. proudly operates Jimmy John's inside Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), and we're looking for dependable, energetic team members to join our team!

$17.50 per hour + tips

Available shifts:

• Morning: 4:00 AM 2:00 PM
• Evening: 2:00 PM 11:00 PM

What you'll do:

• Greet guests and provide friendly, fast, and accurate service
• Prepare sandwiches and menu items according to Jimmy John's standards
• Slice and prepare meats, cheeses, and other ingredients
• Take customer orders and accurately process transactions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary restaurant
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
• Stock ingredients and supplies as needed
• Work efficiently and accurately during busy rush periods
• Support your teammates and contribute to a positive work environment
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and other restaurant duties as needed

What we're looking for:

• Reliable and punctual team members

• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Meat-slicing experience preferred
• Previous restaurant, deli, sandwich shop, or food-service experience is a plus
• Experience operating a commercial meat slicer is preferred
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation is a plus

Important IAD airport requirements:

• Successfully pass an in-person TSA fingerprint background check
• Provide two forms of valid, original, undamaged identification
• Meet all airport security and badging requirements
• Complete the required fingerprinting and airport badging process

Please note: Candidates must have the required identification available and be able to successfully complete the TSA fingerprint background check and airport badging process.

TGI requirements and qualifications for the CM include:

• Ensure that all quality and health/safety requirements are met in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
• Comply: Always complies with all airport and/or train station rules and regulations.
• Dependability: Is punctual. Can be relied upon to be at work according to schedule. Complies with policies regarding clocking in/out and use of breaks.
• Uniform/personal appearance: Always dressed in complete uniform and presents a well-groomed appearance.
• Commitment: Shows initiative and follows through with tasks. Ensures overall duties are performed efficiently and on time.
• Customer service/salesmanship: Consistently effective and pays attention to customer's needs.
• Requires the ability to speak in English clearly, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers.
• Store operations: Is dependable and conscientious about performing tasks. Informs management of issues that arise during a shift.
• Communication: Communicates effectively and listens well.

• Product handling/stocking: Handles all products and supplies in a safe and sanitary manner. Distributes the products and supplies efficiently according to store's requisition/stock list.
• Company policies and procedures: Regularly adheres to policies and standard operating procedures.
• Must be able to bend, twist and stand for extended periods to perform job functions.
• Must have the ability to lift and push objects weighing over 40 lbs.
• Follows safety rules provided in the TGI safety manual along with other TGI policies and procedures.
• Reports any safety hazards to management immediately.
