Details Position is in a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) at a dedicated heart hospital Night shift schedule: 3x12‑hour shifts (19:00–07:30) Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4‑week schedule period; night shift weekends are Friday/Saturday Rotating holiday coverage required Patient ratio is approximately 1:1–2 Required skills include IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan‑Ganz catheter (SWANZ), conscious sedation, intra‑aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and PA lines Epic EMR experience required Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity level Requirements Active OH RN license or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience preferred 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co‑worker references are not accepted Additional Information Local candidates are accepted Former facility employees are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6‑month separation from the facility Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after accepting the position — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in‑state fingerprinting location or will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to complete urgently Multiple parking permit options are available for purchase on‑site, ranging from convenient garage access to budget‑friendly surface lot options with shuttle service to the medical center American Traveler Job ID #P-717182.
