Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides technical support in laboratory testing, ensuring accurate and timely processing of specimens. Assists in maintaining quality control and adhering to safety protocols within the clinical lab setting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen collection, processing, and testing in accordance with established procedures.
• Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Document test results accurately and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Assist with inventory management and ensure proper storage of supplies.
• Support laboratory staff with additional tasks as needed, including holiday coverage.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 2 years of laboratory experience within the specialty.
• Possess a valid Phlebotomy Certification.
• Demonstrate competence in laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
• Have excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work scheduled hours and holiday shifts as required.
