Dishwasher

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils/vessels; sets-up, maintains, and breaks-down the dish machine area following Ruby Tuesday procedures and safety and sanitation requirements.

Essential duties and responsibilities include: loading, running, and unloading the dish machine following Ruby Tuesday procedures; keeping the dish machine clean and reporting any functional or mechanical problems immediately; washing and storing all tableware and kitchenware; maintaining adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen; keeping dish area clean and organized; bagging and hauling dish room trash to dumpster at designated times; maintaining adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies; cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of carpeted and non-carpeted floors according to Ruby Tuesday standards and procedures; maintaining clean, stocked, and sanitary restrooms through regular restroom checks; cleaning, rolling, and unrolling kitchen mats; sweeping up trash around the exterior of the restaurant; deck scrubbing walkways and back dock area; being responsible for the set-up, cleanliness, and organization of the work area before, during, and after every shift; following HOH Cleaning Program and AM Utility Programs; assisting in cleaning and preparing foods for cooking as directed; and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications include: being 18 years old; having a high school diploma or high school equivalency preferred; being able to lift and carry up to 70lbs, up to 20 times per shift; placing these items on high shelves and in walk-in freezer; being able to stand 100% of shift; working frequently in damp, hot work environment; using slicers or other kitchen machinery; being able to hold items with hands (knives, pans) for extended periods of time, with up to 5 lbs. of weight; and being able to work flexible shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical requirements include regular attendance; ability to stand or walk for hours at a time; frequently required to hear, speak, walk, crawl, climb, stand, reach, bend, balance, kneel, stoop, lift and carry items up to 70 lbs; ability to tolerate significant changes in temperature, and frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
