Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, political science, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight years of experience in public affairs, media relations, or a related discipline, with a proven track record of managing high-profile communications.

Process Overview:

Qualification Review: HR will screen applications for minimum qualifications weekly.

PAID TIME-OFF BENEFITS:

• Holidays: 12 paid holidays each year with the addition of an 8-hour Floating Holiday (in addition to the Floating Holiday that can be earned by participating in the Wellness Program).

• Personal Computer Employee Purchase Program: To encourage the development of employee computer skills, the City offers an interest-free loan to you for the purchase of computer hardware (including a Desktop or Laptop) and software. The employee must have successfully completed their 6-month Introductory Period for eligibility.
• Recreation Center Membership: Employees and family members are eligible for a membership to the Commerce City Recreation Center for $5.00 per person per year.
• Golf Course Green Fees: Employees can play the City's award-winning Buffalo Run Golf Course at a rate of $9.00 for 9-holes or $18.00 for 18-holes. Employees can also purchase golf merchandise at discounted prices.
