Lead Software Engineer

DescriptionKforce has a client in Miami, FL that is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their team on a contract role to support incoming project work. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Responsibilities:* Collaborate with project stakeholders (product owners, UX researchers, data team, QA team, project managers, cross team leads and designers) to understand functional and non-functional requirements* Promote a collaborative team environment and work closely with colleagues to achieve business objectives* Responsible for planning work estimation and forecasting* Adhere to architecture, design, implementation, security standards and best practices* Investigate and propose solutions to development and design problems* Conduct analysis to determine integration needs, and design and plan integrations* Prepare technical documentation, including software design evaluation plans and test results* Write high-quality code that satisfies customer needs and strives for simplicity, clarity, and testability* Implement unit and integration tests and conduct functional and performance testing where appropriate* Participate in code reviews or use collaborative programming techniques to promote high quality business outcomes* Develop reusable software building blocks to enable faster delivery* Improve performance of existing software by diagnosing and resolving critical issues* Establish development practices and processes* Manage and mentor software engineersRequirements* Master's degree in Computer Science and worked at a company for 5+ years with web technology stack and web standards or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent degree and worked at a company for 7+ years with web technology stack and web standards* C# (7+ years) with deep understanding of advanced principles of client-side and server-side development* Strong hands-on experience with .NET/.NET 8 and ASP.NET MVC* JavaScript and experience with a component UI library (Kendo UI strongly preferred)* Proven track record for architecting, scaling and implementing complex technical solutions* Proven track record of leadership in Agile environments, with excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for mentoring and empowering team members* Proven background in configuring and securing file transfer protocols and converting to an automated process using API to trigger, monitor and automate file movements* Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and integration patterns* Knowledge in building and tooling processes such as CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and package managers, coupled with extensive experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex issues* SQL Server proficiency, including stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions* Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writingPreferred Skills:* Frontend development* 3rd-party integrations (frontend)* GoAnywhere MFT* TypeScript and React/Next.js* Python for scripting and data processing* Experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, or banking domain* Exposure to additional cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Job TypeContractCompensation65 - $75
