Phlebotomist I

Job Overview: Pay Range: $22hr - $27.20hr Requirement/Must Have: Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime. Keyboard/data entry experience is required. California CPT License is required. Responsibilities: Represent the organization to patients as the primary point of contact for specimen collection. Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures. Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients. Perform blood draws in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. Demonstrate leadership behaviors focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality. Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties. Maintain required records and documentation. Promote a positive image to patients, employees, and the public. Nice to Have: Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. One+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred. Qualification And Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Phlebotomy certification is required in California.
