Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Trading Floor Support Analyst to provide real-time technical support and rapid issue resolution for trading systems, applications, hardware, and market data technologies used by front-office personnel on the trading floor. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting trading environments, financial systems, market data applications, and high-pressure production environments, with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and minimize business disruption.
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time technical support to traders, sales, and other front-office personnel.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving trading platforms, financial applications, market data feeds, hardware, and network connectivity.
- Monitor the health, availability, and performance of trading systems and escalate incidents appropriately.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, application, connectivity, and workstation issues.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, networking, and other technology teams to resolve complex technical problems.
- Support market data applications and technologies used by trading teams.
- Perform incident management and provide timely communication during critical issues.
- Identify recurring problems and contribute to root-cause analysis and permanent resolutions.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge bases and support documentation.
- Help ensure minimal downtime and maintain compliance with operational, security, and regulatory standards.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, time-sensitive trading floor environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in technical support, application support, infrastructure support, or trading floor support.
- Experience supporting trading platforms, financial systems, or front-office technology environments.
- Strong knowledge of market data applications such as Bloomberg, Reuters/Refinitiv, or ICE.
- Experience troubleshooting Windows and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with scripting and basic networking concepts.
- Strong understanding of hardware, applications, connectivity, and desktop/trading workstation troubleshooting.
- Experience working with infrastructure, networking, and application teams to resolve production issues.
- Strong incident management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and resolve issues quickly in a high-pressure, time-sensitive trading environment.
- Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to interact directly with traders and senior front-office personnel.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience supporting an investment bank, broker-dealer, hedge fund, asset manager, or other capital markets environment.
- Experience with electronic trading platforms and market data infrastructure.
- Exposure to production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and change management processes.
- Experience supporting technology in a trading floor or other mission-critical environment.
