About the position

The General Manager is responsible for the entire operation of the facility including but not limited to financial results, processes & procedures, safety programs, employee performance management, hiring, training, etc. In addition, the GM will partner closely with other Senior Managers to help design, implement, and execute growth strategies. As the leader of the facility, the General Manager is expected to lead by example and ensure high employee engagement by promoting a positive culture that aligns with our company values and goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe work environment and compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Leading, Managing and Accountability:
• Leading: Effectively communicate Vision, Company Goals and Expectations
• Coordinate day-to-day operations for a team of 16
• Hiring/Training: always field a full team and develop 1-2 backups/successors
• Managing: Set individual goals, review performance, hold accountable, coach
• Sales and Customer Service:
• Ensure Customer Satisfaction by consistently delivering IB value proposition
• Enable the operation to solve customer problems and deliver Battery Expertise
• Grow account base and maximize opportunity from existing accounts
• Operations:
• Partner with Accounts Receivable to ensure timely payments
• Ensure Safe work environment in Compliance with IBSA, OSHA, DOT, EPA
• Create a well-oiled machine: processes in place, followed and continuously refined
• Continuously improve operating costs and while maintaining service levels
• Carefully manage Consignment Inventory to minimize obsolescence
• Periodically Optimize Route Model and minimize cost to serve

Qualifications & Skills:

• 2+ years managing P&L
• 2+ years previous experience as a General Manager in similar industry (wholesale, distribution preferred)
• 3+ years leading, coaching and mentoring a team
• Strong computer skills required including all Microsoft applications
• Excellent communication skills & highly organized
• Meticulous attention to detail
