Oracle Database Administrator

To ensure the integrity and optimal performance of mission-critical databases, the full-time Oracle Database Administrator will manage the administration, maintenance, performance, security, and availability of Oracle and SQL Server environments while working remotely within the U.S. Key responsibilities Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Database environments across development, test, and production systems Analyze and optimize SQL queries and database configurations to improve performance and capacity planning Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field 8+ years of hands-on experience administering Oracle databases in enterprise environments Proficiency in Oracle RMAN, Data Guard, ASM, and database backup/recovery strategies Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting Experience working with Linux/Unix operating systems and writing and editing shell scripts
