Orthopedic Surgery Opportunity | Emmett, Idaho Position Overview We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join our established orthopedic program in Emmett, Idaho. Position Highlights Total Compensation: $709,000+ annually (Year 1: $618,000 base + incentives) Signing Bonus: $50,000 (50% at signing, 50% at start) Work Schedule: 2.5 clinic days, 2 OR days per week (4-day work week negotiable) Call Coverage: No call required Technology: Brand new Velas robotic surgery system Location: 30 minutes from Boise with small-town lifestyle Patient Base: Immediate volume with established referral network Clinical Responsibilities General orthopedic surgery including: Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements (robotic-assisted) Arthroscopic procedures (knee, shoulder, ankle) Carpal tunnel release and hand procedures Injections and trigger point therapy Non-surgical treatment options for chronic conditions No spine surgery required Practice Details Volume: 30 clinic encounters per day, 2-3 surgeries per OR day Support: Comprehensive OR team (~8 personnel) including 2 full-time CRNAs, experienced OR nurses and surgical techs Facility: 16-bed Critical Access Hospital with full surgical capabilities, 128-slice CT, MRI, ultrasound, and on-site lab Leadership Role: Medical Director position with $48,000 annual stipend Qualifications MD or DO from accredited institution Completed orthopedic surgery residency Board-certified or board-eligible by American Board of Orthopedic Surgery Current or obtainable Idaho medical license DEA and Idaho Pharmacy licensure BLS and ACLS certification 4+ years post-residency experience preferred About Emmett Emmett, Idaho offers the perfect blend of small-town living with big-city access.
