All candidates must be eligible to work and live in the U.S. Department Chemistry & Fermentation Sciences – 250150 Position Summary The department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with eight concentrations and a BA and Fermentation Sciences degrees. This role supports a dynamically evolving curriculum for undergraduate chemistry and fermentation students, preparing them for graduate studies, professional schools, and industry careers. Minimum Qualifications M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry; related fields acceptable if at least 18 graduate credits in chemistry. ABD candidates considered only if all degree requirements are satisfied before the start date. Areas of Interest Open to any chemistry subdiscipline. Teaching experience in introductory, general, organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, or biochemistry preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach up to 12 contact hours per week in undergraduate laboratories and/or lectures, including in-person and online introductory-level courses. May be assigned higher-level courses based on qualifications. Hold office hours, promote chemical safety, and perform normal teaching duties. Engage in departmental service activities aligned with the department’s mission.
