Veterinary Technician - ICU

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant (VA) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists .

Location: 3021 Edinger Ave, Tustin, CA 92780

Schedule: Full-Time, 4 days, 10-hour shifts, swing, late swing, or overnight

Salary: $ 25 - $ 30 /hour

We believe in high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care, and making that happen through dedication and learning. The position is for four, 10-hour shifts, 8:30 am-7 pm or 10 am-8:30 pm. This will include at least one weekend day (unless you are a glittery unicorn that really, really wants to work Saturdays AND Sundays, which we would be happy to accommodate). Duties will include:

• Maintaining medical records.

• Preparing for and performing procedures and treatments.

• Preparing medications and prescriptions.

• Communicating in person and on the phone with clients.

• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

• Assisting in procedures.

• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets.

• Assisting in other areas of the hospital, as needed.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $25 to $30 per hour.
