RN Infusion Nurse II - Ob/Gyn Oncology (Outpatient) - West County

Registered Nurse

Washington University is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join its specialized, intimate 8-bed outpatient Gynecologic Oncology Infusion Unit at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. In this focused role, the nurse does not just administer medication; they become a vital pillar of support for women navigating their cancer journeys. Operating in a tight-knit environment allows clinicians to deliver highly personalized, safe, and attentive care while building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families.

Schedule: Monday Friday (8am-4:30pm) No nights, weekends, or on call hours!

Targeted Clinical Care - Administering and managing complex chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions specifically tailored for Gynecologic Oncology patients.

Patient Centric Pace - Managing a streamlined workflow within a comfortable, 8-bed unit featuring individual treatment pods, and natural light.

Collaborative Safety- working closely with dedicated on-site oncology providers

Professional Growth - Specialized oncology continuing education, and mentorship to help them grow into experts in the field of oncology nursing.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care.
• Participates in quality improvement activities, to ensure exceptional clinical outcomes.
• Demonstrates cost effective work habits by setting priorities and properly managing supplies and equipment.
• Provides accurate and complete patient documentation in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates safe work habits and is knowledgeable of all related requirements and practices relative to his/her job assignment.
• Possesses the knowledge of growth and development and demonstrates clinical expertise for ages of patients served. Possesses the ability to understand and react effectively to meet the patients' needs.
• Observes professional service commitments; participates in quality management initiatives as assigned.

• Provides accurate counsel and education to patients and/or family at an appropriate level of understanding for the patient and/or family member regarding their disease process and symptom management.

• Maintains required skills and competencies and participates in educational programs, staff meetings, skills day.
• Participates in continued professional development, attending educational programs, in-services, and meetings as needed.

• Attends required continuing education classes and completes annual competency requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Salary Range: $31.74 - $57.14 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
