Located in Walnut Creek, California, our 128-bed skilled nursing rehabilitation center is conveniently situated just a short distance from John Muir Medical Center. Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Charge Nurse to join our team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for the overall supervision of nursing care in our facility during your shift. You will provide direct, age-specific resident care to those assigned to your care and supervise LVN's, C.N.A.'s, and other ancillary nursing personnel involved in the delivery of resident care. Responsibilities: Check daily staffing and assure staffing needs are addressed, updating schedules as needed Supervise and administer direct nursing care when more than routine care is indicated Make rounds twice each shift to assure proper care and a safe, clean resident environment Meet with all new admissions to assure core needs are being met Assure accuracy and completeness of medical records Assist with admissions, resident care plans, and resident assessments Supervise and coordinate the care of each resident to meet their individual needs Requirements: Current, valid Registered Nurse licensure to practice in the State of California Current BLS certification At least six months prior RN experience in a general acute care hospital setting or acquired equivalent competency Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information Ability to perform upper-level mathematical operations Benefits: Competitive Pay scale (depending on experience) Full Benefits - Medical, Dental, and Vision (for full-time employees) Paid Time Off Clinical Training and Hands-on Practical Experience Continuing Education Credits Career Growth Opportunities Outstanding and Dedicated Leaders for Support Referral Bonus Program Recognition Programs Full-time and Part-time positions #J-18808-Ljbffr
