Mammography Technologist

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x8s | Expected 32 hours/week | Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Perform medical mammograms to assist in the diagnosis of disease or trauma
• Program mammography equipment for correct density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion
• Prepare, maintain, and operate mammography equipment in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to appropriate radiation safety guidelines
• Perform and document all QA/QC tests as defined by MQSA standards
• Work on Mobile Mammography Van as needed, including some weekends, with all standard responsibilities applying during van assignments

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved radiologic technology program required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist required
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) required
• Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) compliance required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ARRT Mammography certification must be obtained within 2 years from date of hire if not already held

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1 year of experience in mammography preferred
• Experience operating mobile mammography units a plus
