Vascular TechnologistThe Vascular Technologist is expected to interact with patients and their families in a caring, considerate manner and provide care with the highest regard for the patient's mental, spiritual, and physical well-being. The Vascular Technologist is responsible for the performance of vascular studies to include: Carotid duplex, Aorta duplex, Vein mapping, Venous duplex, Arterial physiology studies, Arterial duplex, Renal/SMA arterial duplex, Arterial By-Pass grafts, Dialysis Access grafts, pre-op dialysis access evaluations, venous insufficiency exams, and ABI's. The Vascular Technologist is required to deliver services to infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in all areas of the hospital, within the laboratory setting, and in the physician office setting. The individual makes diagnostic testing available 24 hours per day/seven days per week. On-Call responsibilities are an important aspect of this position. The Vascular Technologist is expected to perform the duties and responsibilities with indirect, minimal supervision and must make many independent decisions.CarolinaEast Health System is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care across the Coastal Carolina region. Registered Vascular Technologist preferred.Prior experience performing peripheral vascular testing required. College degree in Health Science or Allied Health preferred.Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and posses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.Must maintain current AHA BLS certification.Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
