Registered Nurse Operating RoomJob Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday through Friday Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Advanced skills in general trauma pediatric, orthopedic, ENT, and neuro procedures required for circulating or scrubbing. Description: No on-call duty required. Work schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays. Unit has 50 beds and 4 operating rooms. Patient ratios are 1:1. Staffing includes unit secretaries and tech support. Equipment used includes Stryker, microscope, Neptune, and C-arm. Documentation system is Epic. Staff may float to the main unit if it is slow. Child and parent care model is utilized for patient experience. Procedures performed on the unit are pediatric general, orthopedic, ENT, eye, and neurosurgery. Required uniform consists of navy and black scrubs for RNs and seal blue with any scrub top pattern for CSTs. New pediatric facility opened less than 2 years ago with all new equipment.
