Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)

An acute care hospital is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) in Poughkeepsie, NY to provide comprehensive midwifery care in a collaborative women's health setting. This role involves supporting patients across labor and delivery, postpartum, gynecologic, and preventive care services. About the Opportunity:Shift: Day shift Schedule: 24-hour Labor & Delivery shifts Setting: In-person, acute care hospital Responsibilities:Provide full-scope midwifery care across the continuum of women's health. Manage antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic patients. Conduct vaginal deliveries and support labor management in collaboration with OB/GYN physicians. Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate interdisciplinary care. Educate patients and families on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum recovery, and preventive women's health services. Qualifications:Master's degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Midwifery program. Current Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification. Active New York State RN and Nurse Midwife licenses. DEA registration or ability to obtain it. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaborative practice skills. Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care. Desired Skills:Current BLS and NRP certifications. Previous Labor & Delivery and midwifery experience. Experience with first assist procedures. Tandym Group
