AERIAL LINEMAN - SYRACUSE, NY
A successful Aerial Line Person (Aerial Construction Lineman) shall access specific areas to install, maintain, and/or repair a customer's telecommunications equipment. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction; familiarity with aerial lift devices, utility lines and poles, and the functionality of each; ability to use cable placement equipment... and tools; ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.
Must be 21 or older
Have a good driving record
Able to pass Background and Drug screening
Able to obtain DOT Medical Certification
Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to climb poles as needed
- Able to splice coax cable
- Able to build aerial plants to include strand, coax, and/or fiber
- Able to complete pole transfers
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Bucket trucks and tools are provided
GTS is based in Canton, GA with operations nationally. We provide planning, engineering, construction and support services for a broad range of network infrastructure.
