A day in the life (Bettendorf, IA)

You kick off the morning by reviewing the inspection queue—receiving lots, work-in-progress parts, and finished assemblies. Calipers and gauges in hand, you sample, measure, and verify that every detail aligns with our specs. As results come in, you log findings with precision, flag trends, and huddle with production, engineering, and supply chain to sort issues fast.

By midday, you’re deep into a Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) package for a new part revision, validating that changes meet requirements before release. Later, you help draft corrective and preventive actions, close the loop on nonconformances, and update the quality system so we don’t see the same issue twice. You wrap up by organizing records and scanning new standards so we stay current with best practices.

What you’ll tackle

• Perform detailed inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and completed products to confirm conformance.
• Build, execute, and monitor quality control procedures aligned with industry and internal standards.
• Support and participate in PPAP activities to approve new parts and engineering changes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to pinpoint waste and drive continuous improvement.
• Document nonconformances, communicate findings, and assist in root cause and corrective action.
• Maintain thorough, accurate inspection and test records.
• Keep up with evolving quality methodologies and trends.

What you bring
