Field Service Controls TechnicianLocation: West Chester, OHPay: $32-$36/hr+Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of experience in field service, quality control, or technical support with PLC exposureAbility to read and interpret PLC ladder logic, HMI databases, electrical schematics, P&ID drawings, and O&M manualsHands-on experience with PLC and HMI systems, including basic programming and troubleshootingStrong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including VFDs, chillers, boilers, and BAS integrationsWillingness and ability to travel up to 70% (including overnight travel)Effective communication skills for working with customers, vendors, and internal teamsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve field issues independentlyResponsibilities:Perform pre-startup activities including system checks, component testing, and PLC/HMI I/O validationLead equipment startup and commissioning at customer sites, ensuring proper system operation, sequencing, and communication between componentsIdentify, document, and help resolve system issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors as neededMake minor PLC and HMI program adjustments to support system functionality and performanceTrain customer personnel on system operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and minor repairsComplete detailed service reports, upload project documentation, and support project closeout activitiesAssist with in-house quality control, final assembly testing, and provide remote technical support to customers as needed
