Role Overview The Flight Operations Auditor evaluates and improves the effectiveness of the airline's operational safety, compliance and quality assurance programs within Flight Operations and the Flight Training Program. The role supports the Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) and the Safety Management System (SMS) by conducting audits, identifying risks and ensuring adherence to regulatory and company standards, and is central to maintaining operational integrity, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across flight operations. Key Responsibilities Plan, conduct and document internal audits of Flight Operations on behalf of the Internal Evaluation Program (IEP). Audit the Flight Training Program, including curriculum, AQP flight training devices, training events and records. Evaluate compliance with FAA and other regulatory requirements (for example 14 CFR Part 121), company policies and procedures, and international standards such as IOSA where applicable. Assess the effectiveness of operational controls and safety risk mitigations. Identify operational hazards and areas of risk within Flight Operations. Evaluate the effectiveness of Safety Risk Management (SRM) controls through safety assurance. Analyse audit results and identify trends, systemic issues and improvement opportunities. Assist in publishing a quarterly audit report for senior leadership and the Accountable Executive. Participate in and present IEP results at the SMS data analysis group, the standards board and the company standards board meeting. Assist with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA). Respond to special audit requests from senior management and ensure follow-up audits or evaluations are completed as required. Maintain electronic databases (Intelex) for the effective management of audit information and data. Take responsibility for the company Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and the associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office programs. Strong understanding of 14 CFR Part 5, Safety Management Systems (SMS). Ability to speak, read and write English. If hired, must be able to demonstrate authorization to work in the United States. Preferred: bachelor's degree in aviation or aviation safety; formal training in risk management. Licences & Qualifications Airline Transport Pilot (ATP). Experience At least two years of experience in Part 121 air carrier management. Preferred: formal audit training and/or audit-related experience. Preferred: Check Airman experience and flight training experience. Additional Information This is not a supervisory position and no specific authorities are assigned. In the incumbent's absence, responsibilities are delegated to the Internal Evaluation Program Manager. Work environment: professional office environment using standard office equipment. The role is largely sedentary, but the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to 25 lbs, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Security clearance: all employees must pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49 CFR 1542.209 and a pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements
