Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

This position is for night shifts, specifically 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and holidays as required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health nursing, with a requirement of at least 2 years of experience in the field and 1 year of travel nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate and effective nursing care to adult patients in a behavioral health setting.
Monitor patient behavior, medication administration, and overall health status.
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and assist in crisis intervention when needed.
Document patient interactions and care plans in an EMR system (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Must have a valid NC nursing license or multistate license.
Current BLS and CPI certification (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention).
Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience.
At least 1 year of travel nursing experience is required.
Recent experience with EMR - EPIC is mandatory.
