We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Training Specialist I (SGL16) to work in a hybrid capacity based out of our Denver, CO office. No relocation assistance will be provided.

P OSITION SUMMARY

The Technical Training Specialist I will develop and deliver technical training programs that enhance employee performance, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role partners with leaders and employees across the organization to assess training needs, develop learning solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver technical training programs to ensure employees maintain the knowledge and skills required to perform their work safely and effectively.
• Design and create training materials for classroom, virtual, field-based, and self-paced learning, including presentations, job aids, manuals, procedures, and multimedia content.
• Deliver engaging training through classroom instruction, on-the-job training, and virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
• Assess training needs and collaborate with managers and supervisors to identify skill gaps and implement targeted learning solutions.
• Support Operator Qualification (OQ) and other regulatory training programs to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal requirements.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, observations, operational data, and participant feedback, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Serve as a training resource for field personnel, supervisors, and business partners by providing technical guidance and follow-up support.
• Research and apply best practices in adult learning, instructional design, and training technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
• Provide training-related consultation and support for organizational initiatives, projects, and operational improvements.
• Support safety, quality, Process Safety Management (PSMS), Damage Prevention, and emergency preparedness initiatives through training, audits, outreach, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

  EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma required; some college preferred. 
• Minimum of five (5) years of technical or industry related experience.
• Experience developing and delivering employee training programs preferred.
• Certifications or coursework in adult learning, instructional design, training development, or related disciplines are highly desirable.

  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES 

• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts, processes, and workflows verbally and in writing
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to confidently instruct groups of varied sizes and experience levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while meeting deadlines.
• Can learn, apply, and effectively communicate new technical information.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Can work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing business needs.
• Willingness and ability to travel and work flexible hours as business needs require.

The salary range is $77,479 - $92,007 annually, depending on experience.
